The
Port
Huron complex has two facilities, Plant #1 and Plant #5.
Plant
#1 began production in the fall of 1995. This is a three-shift
operation, producing polyurethane backed automotive inner dashes
and miscellaneous PU acoustical parts.
Typical manufacturing porcesses include auto
vacuum molding, open and
closed PU pour processing and 3-D trimming. This facility also custom
blends polyol formulation for specific automotive applications.
The current facility size for Port Huron Plant #1 is
+65,000 ft2.
Plant #5 began production in early 2005. This is a two-shift operation,
producing lightweight AcousticLite® automotive floor carpets
and inner dashes.
Other parts
produced in our newest
North American facility are package trays, trunk trim and miscellaneous
PU acoustical parts. This is also the pilot plant in North America for
our LeveCell light-foam technology. Typical manufacturing
processes include compression molding, thermoforming, lamination and
3-D trimming.
The current
facility size for Port
Huron Plant #5 is +65,000 ft2.
